In a few hours, Roa’s first solo show in Australia opens in Perth. The show, Paradox, is being put on by Skalitzers (a Berlin-based gallery) and FORM and will take place at FORM’s space at
357 Murray Street in Perth. Opening at 6pm today, Paradox will then run from 22 October through 13 January, 2012.

So I’m about to get on a flight to Philadelphia, which means that there could be power outages as soon as tomorrow night and I’ll be offline for a few days. So if Vandalog doesn’t update, that’s why. This week has been all about good walls for me, and so that’s what almost this entire link-o-rama is about as well:

This is Belgium’s Bue the Warrior. Recently he’s been collaborating with Billy and Low Bros in Berlin on some fantastic walls and shutters, pictures of which I posted last week. I rather like his style, (maybe because it’s similar to a few other artists I like), so here a few of his other pieces from all around the world. Enjoy.

Later this month, Atlanta is going to be taken over by street artists from around the world for this year’s edition of the Living Walls conference, Living Walls: the City Speaks. From the 12th-14th of August, there will be film screenings, lectures and artists painting murals around the city. Living Walls have brought together an impressive artist roster from around the world including (but not limited to) Doodles, Swampy, Gaia, Roa, Labrona, OverUnder, Sam3, Freddy Sam, White Cocoa, Nanook, Greg Mike, Paper Twins, Clownsoldier and Gawd. And I can’t complain about the keynote speakers either: Tristan Manco, Gaia, Ricky Lee Gordon and me.
So if you’re in Atlanta, come out check out the opening party at The Sound Table on Friday the 12th, lectures at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia on the 13th during the day, a party at The Goat Farm the night of the 13th and a tour of all the new murals on the 14th. I’ll post more details about exact times later. And of course, I’ll be posting plenty of photos from the conference as well.
In September, another Living Walls event will take place in Albany, NY. More on that later.

Roa, Pin, Pixelpancho and Blu are some of the first arrivals painting at the Draw The Line festival in Campobasso, Italy. All in all, over 100 artists will participate in the festival, which officially launches in September. In the mean time, artists are coming by to paint. There was some initial controversy about Blu’s piece, but that has since settled down.
