Those graffiti murals in Bushwick are among the most vibrant anywhere. They also attest to graffiti’s continual evolution. And while so many “street artists” who grace our walls with wonderfully provocative images often retire from the streets, most of the writers keep on doing their thing in the public sphere. Here are a few images we saw this morning:

Amuse, reigning from Chicago, raised the bar for writers and dimmed the line separating graffiti and street art. Three prominent qualities that keeps Amuse’s work attractive are the details work, the movement, and the sporadic use of color. The following are some of Amuse’s illest work yet.

Ranging from first-rate graffiti to folksy installations, the walls in Bushwick, Brooklyn are among the most intriguing anywhere. Here’s a sampling of what we saw today:
Horfé has such copious amounts of work up in Paris, it’s almost terrifying that it’s also mobile. I’m sort of hoping to see Horfé hit a couple planes and reach international status.

Alone (aka Tanha) reports from Tehran that his city recently hosted its third public street art/graffiti event. While the first two were held in gallery spaces, SPRAY 2011 — presented by KolahStudio and hosted by Adrenaline Extreme Sports — took place outdoors on a 70-meter wall. Alone shared the following video and photos of the successful event:
