Artists continue to raise awareness for Haiti

The artistic community is continuing to raise money and awareness for the recent earthquakes in Haiti.

ABOVE’s has put up his latest stencil in Cuba. The piece is meant to raise awareness for the continuing struggles of people in Haiti who have been victims of the recent earthquakes.

ABOVE says:

Cuba is less than 90 miles away from Haiti making them very close neighbors. The young and courageous neighbor is embarking to Haiti to help out those who have fallen victim. The recent earthquakes in Haiti has taken over 230,000 innocent lives, wounded 300,000 and made 1,200,000 people homeless.

Please GET INVOLVED and help donate to send aid and resources to the people of Haiti.

Here’s a video of that new painting…

And Agents of Change have put together Au Secour, a group show in London to raise money for Haiti (all the money goes straight to the DEC):

New Sam3 animation and prints

If you like that new animation from Sam3, you’ll love his new prints at Studiocromie. I think these were available at Fame Festival, but now they are online too.

The set is an edition of 50 and is available online for 220 €. They’re a bit different from Sam3’s usually work in that they have two colors and there are lines instead of his usual drawings filled in completely in black, but I really like the first print (particularly because it reminds me of this piece Sam3 painted in San Fransisco).

Blade, Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant video

Henry Chalfant and Martha Cooper took the photos for the legendary graffiti book Subway Art, and Blade is one of the writers featured in the book. I think these interviews with them were filmed at a show that the three of them were involved with earlier this year in Paris. It’s a cool video if you love classic graffiti (and Wu-Tang Clan’s music).

KR/Krink on Current.tv

KR, creator of the KRINK line of inks, is a controversial figure in the graffiti world, but I still generally like what he does (even if the idea of selling paint-filled fire extinguishers is a bit much). Here’s a bio about KR from Current.tv.
