Herakut at ARTotale
I was hunting around a little while ago for pictures of Herakut’s new mural, painted for ARTotale in Luneburg, and, just when I stopped looking, my friend Sebastian put some up on Unurth!
We did a little preview of ARTotale back in August and were pretty impressed by the line up. Just, who took these photos of Herakut’s work, has documented the week long festival on Ekosystem. Check out his awesome photo stream.
Guiditta Supina
I’m so happy to see how far along this guy has come in such a short period of time. He truly is one of the great artists of our generation and I’m so excited to see where he goes next. Just wish I still had those wheatpastes we pinned to the wall of our first art show back in 2006!
Slinkachu Does His Laundry
Well you can’t say Slinkachu isn’t creative. I really think he’s one of the most interesting street artists out there these days. This piece is one of five he has worked on in the past two days since arriving at FAME Fest.
New JR and Sam3 Prints for FAME Fest
JR and Sam3 have been working hard in the studio in Grottaglie! JR’s print is based on his piece “Self Portrait in a Woman’s Eye, Kenya” from the Circle Culture show back in June. Sam3’s print is called “Subconscio”. Even though these artists are stylistically very different, the introspective quality of the imagery is quite complementary; I think these prints would look nice on the wall together.
Can’t wait to see what JR does on the streets.
Escif’s Summer Walls
Meant to post these when Escif sent them over yesterday but didn’t get a chance. I’ve been a fan of his work for a few years now and it’s been great to watch the evolution. I particularly like these pieces. His work at Observatori 2009 in Valencia back in June was also very good.

Bunnies and Monkeys and Bears
Ericailcane has been working really hard on the streets of Grottaglie this month (see another great wall here). He has also been making lots of great art for the FAME Fest show, such as hand-touched prints, little ceramic monkeys and a big bear sculpture. See more in-progress shots of the latter two below as he finishes things up and heads out of town.
Hear No Evil, See No Evil
These are very cool. They are the ceramic sculptures Ericailcane has made specially for FAME Fest. (Check out his cool prints here.)
And this is very uncool. The people who control the wall above had given Ericailcane permission to paint a mural on it. Soon after he began, they changed their minds. As Angelo so eloquently puts it, “We were pissed as never before.” Me too.
Judith Supine on the Williamsburg Bridge
Judith Supine has just pulled another crazy stunt, this time climbing up the Williamsburg Bridge to install his newest figure. This awesome piece is called “Above The City In A Summer Night Dream”.
