TrustoCorp‘s latest show, Life Cycle, will be opening next week at Opera Gallery‘s New York location on Spring Street. Ambitious as ever, Life Cycle will be based around 4 installations examining the stages of the life of an American, including over 50 artworks. Here’s one, called Botched Operation:
Life Cycle opens on October 21st and runs through November 11th and should be a must-see show (particularly the opening night if past TrustoCorp shows are anything to go by).

Keith Schweitzer and Joyce Manalo organized getting these shipping containers painted for MaNY and Fourth Arts Block. Forth Arts Block got permission for the site, the like-up was solidified over a weekend and painting began almost immediately. It’s amazing how easily things come together sometimes. They brought in Infinity, Royce Bannon, El Celso and Quel Beast from New York, plus Reka from Australia while he was in New York for a bit. Since Skullphone already had a poster on the container, Infinity kept it and blended it into his own piece a bit (with Skullphone’s okay). Here’s a video of the process (Quel Beast’s piece was later changed after this video was filmed):

Back again this year at Village Underground in London, the Moniker Art Fair is opening today and will be open through Sunday. In contrast to the Frieze art fair (also on this weekend in London), Moniker is free and focuses on work by street artists and low-brow artists. This year, galleries exhibiting at Moniker include Stolenspace, Scream, LeBasse Projects, Shea & Ziegler (Frankie Shea of Moniker/CampBarbossa teaming up with Tina Ziegler) and Andenken Gallery.
The program at this year’s fair is packed, so make sure to check it out before heading over, as there are a number of special events like print releases and artist talks going on. Hooked Blog is running tours of the fair and the surrounding street art on the weekend, something I had a lot of fun doing on a more informal basis last year.
In addition to gallery booths, the fair includes project spaces for individual artists. This year, Matt Small, Beejoir, Best Ever, Peeta, Dabs and Myla will be showing work in the project spaces.

The Urban Space at Tudela de Navarra, Spain hosted the Avant-Garde Urbano mural festival on September 26th-30th. The project aimed to revive the architecture of the city with some fresh paint by Blu, Bs. As. Stencil, El Mac, Filippo Minelli, Run Don’t Walk, Sam3, Suso33 and more. The festival was produced by Castel Ruiz and curated by Jorge Rodríguez-Gerada. Here are some photos.

Marcos Zotes’ project CCTV/Creative Control took place on October 1st in Greenpoint, Brooklyn as part of a Nuit Blanche celebration. He projected a video of an eye onto the underside of a 10-storey tall water tower, turning it into a massive Big Brother-esque eyeball. There a video of the intervention here, if these photos aren’t enough.

I Art Soweto is the latest stop for the I Art SA project that Adidas and Ricky Lee Gordon’s A Word of Art have put together. Here’s a film by Rowan Pybus of Makhulu with some of the people of Soweto (a suburb of Johannesburg) and the murals that were made for the project:
The Zonk Vision collective of Australian artists (Danny Wild, Jace Galea and Greg Holden) who might be known to Vandalog readers for their videos where they collaborated with Lush. Recently, they and some friends found an abandoned site outside of Melbourne and painted and skated it to destruction. Check out the video:
