New Work in New York

A couple new things have been popping up as of late. Overunder is back in town, along with a couple new lovely pieces from Swoon alongside some fresh Imminent Disaster up in the mix. Mint and Serf have been engaged in a campaign to reset some street spots in an effort to challenge people to “just put better work out there.” Whatever that means, I was not spared from the apparent critique.

Got any links to this Mint/Serf campaign? Have searched but can’t find anything. Am interested to hear more about the thinking behind this.

Ok, thanks for that. Bit arrogant of them to act as judge and jury of what’s allowed on the street, even if I might not necessarily like some of the stuff they’re going over. They’re looking to create some drama it seems. It’s just that when I saw that quote about challenging people to “just put better work out there.” I wondered if they had made some kind of written statement of intent or something.

of course. not sure about that. i mean they haven’t been doing this long but im sure if it continues an interview or blog post of some kind will pop up with some words regarding intention.
