Phetus and Vers

While so much of the graffiti and street art in Brooklyn has moved to Bushwick, there are still a number of vibrant walls to be found in North Williamsburg. We came upon this wall in progress yesterday:

Tristan Eaton at work in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

April 29th, 2012 | By | No Comments »

One of our favorite walls in Williamsburg is the one fashioned by Tristan Eaton on Fillmore Street off Roebling. For the past few days, he’s been back on Roebling bringing his stylish visual rhythms once more to NYC before leaving for the West Coast. Lenny Collado – my fellow street art and graffiti aficionado – has been busily documenting the work in progress:

And here’s a close-up of Eaton’s riveting rendition of Mickey Mouse spray-painted onto a board that will surface soon in Brooklyn:

It’s great to see Gaia back in Williamsburg, where I first discovered his work. I spotted this earlier today on Bedford Avenue:

Two of Brooklyn’s most prolific muralists, Never and Cern, were captured at work this past week. We are looking forward to seeing the final pieces, but here’s a glimpse of the works in progress:

Tristan Eaton and How & Nosm in Williamsburg

October 6th, 2011 | By | 4 Comments »
Whenever I visit Williamsburg, I tend to stick to the few blocks in the vicinity of the Bedford Avenue subway station. Yesterday, we ventured further south, where we discovered not only first-rate paste-ups and graffiti — but some amazing murals, as well. My favorite is the wall shared by Tristan Eaton and How & Nosm.  Here are a few images:

The subject of a photo shoot, Brooklyn-based artist Aakash Nihalani kept resurfacing throughout the day in North Williamsburg.  We loved observing him in action:
