This work is by Hopare, a French artist. I can’t quite figure out what I think of his work. At first glance I loved it. He is definitely technically skilled, beyond competent. But then I began to question that initial reaction. Is Hopare doing anything all that distinctive or stylistically progressive? I’m not sure. But that’s why I’m asking: What do you think?
