Weekend link-o-rama

Sowat DMV and Gris

This might have been one of the least productive weeks of my life. Just one of those weeks. Here’s some of the stuff I didn’t post about while procrastinating 30 minutes of homework for 3 hours on Thursday:

Stickers by 301

Back in September I posted a photo of a sticker by TR£§ ØH UNO (301) on Vandalog’s Facebook page. It was a cool sticker, but I didn’t think too much about it after that. Then, I started to see 301’s stuff pop up in Lois Stavsky‘s photostream, and I really began to take notice. 301 was putting up some cool stickers. After an interview that Lois did with 301 on Bomit, I got hooked. He’s only been putting up stickers since September 2010, but already this guy is make some of my favorite characters. Can’t what to see where his work goes next. Here’s some of what he’s been up to already:

Milo Project

Here are some new works by French street artist Milo Project. Reminding me a lot of Mark Jenkins, Milo Project places realistic mannequins in the fetal position all over France. Below is a video of people’s reactions that is pretty funny even if you don’t speak French.

Blast One

The more I research Latin American street art, the more I fall in love with it. This is Blast One from Monterrey, Mexico. Using a color palette of  red, black, white and teal, He gives us beautiful murals to look at.

To see more of his work please visit his website or Flickr.

El Tornillo

Tomas Guereña aka El Tornillo lives in Mexico where he creates beautiful art with patterns that remind me of sea creatures. The art is wonderful and the fact that he chooses to include people in his pictures makes it even better, giving the viewer a better sense of where he comes from, where he lives, and where he chooses to make art. The end result: just perfect!

You can go to Flickr to see more of his work.

On the street

The Wa. Photo by the artist

There are a few street pieces to share today.

Above is something by The Wa in the tradition of Roadsworth or Darius & Downey, which I think it just fantastic.

And here’s something that Kid Acne put up in London from his Art Fags series (Hooked has more images):

Here’s two billboards from Ludo:

It’s worth noting that Ludo is selling a few works on paper with 100% of sales going to Skateistan.
