This is the latest in Elfo‘s contextual faces series. I really enjoy these because they are simple, but they provide so much joy. People who see this work, whether they are aged 2 or 92, can appreciate a simple face in an unexpected place. And of course, the location of this face is perfect.

…was installed by Eilidh Short.
The piece, titled Blue Plaque is a project organized by Dirty Square Gallery, the group that organizes artists to put work in that wooden frame on the left-hand side of the photo.
The plaque is a parody of the plaques installed throughout London by English Heritage.

The OBEY team has been quite busy in New York City over the last few weeks. And it doesn’t look like they’ve kept to legal murals.

Last month, Kurator hit PS1 in New York City. Now he’s in London and he’s put some stickers up around the city.

Faro might be best known for his graffiti with ADHD Kids in New York City, but he also does some impressive drawings and prints. Faro will be part of an upcoming group show of prints at High Roller Society (I think it opens June 1st), so I thought I’d share some of his drawings.

This last one is great, but it’s maybe NSFW if you’re more on the conservative side, so it’s after the jump… Continue reading “Faro’s drawings”

My man Alberto de Pedro doing some amazing work! One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He posted me up when I was in Madrid and helped me paint an installation all night inside a really incredible squat. Afterward, we walked back through the city to my hostel, I went to the Prado and then hopped on a plane back to America. Be sure to lookout for some street art festivals he is putting on this summer. And check his flickr here.

Ericailcane and a bunch of other amazing street artists are currently painting at Breakin’ The Wall in Wrocław. Just has plenty of photos from the event on his blog. It’s well worth checking out.
