Huge new(ish) mural in Vancouver

This mural by Titifreak, Peeta, Indigo and Faith47 was painted last month in Vancouver. I love how it turned out, especially Titifreak’s bit. The wall was painted for a certain event there, but since I have nothing good to say about the manipulative group that organized the mural, I’m not going to give them publicity by linking them up or naming the event. The art looks good though.

Very different tone in this post than the one on April 14th about the same mural project. Wondering if something has come to light about the group, or if it’s just a personal perspective?

Basically, the discussion in the comments of that post (http://blog.vandalog.com/2010/04/paint-your-faith/#comments) plus some discussions with people involved with the project have changed my opinion of the project (plus, that first post was by Demian, one of the other bloggers on Vandalog, and he’s free to express his own opinion). It’s still doing some great work with beautifying the community, but in the end, it’s a marketing campaign for the church.
