If you’re in New York City this weekend, be prepared to shield your eyes in case you accidentally catch a glimpse of Mr. Brainwash‘s show Icons. Please, somebody who likes his work, please explain to me what you like and what I am missing (no conspiracy theories please). I am so confused! That is all I will say for now on the subject.

RJ – I’m not sure if I’d call it “His” work. But the one thing I love about the guy – he’s obsessed, and maniacal. From a great distance it’s pretty fun to observe. Warhol’s mantra was “work”. If you painted 5 pieces in a single day, he would’ve asked why you didn’t paint 6. MBW is a giant farce who can’t seem to stop working, and though I wish he’d stop, as long as he keeps going on I’m afraid he’s going to trick the youngers into believing he deserves his “artist” status.
