Most street artists make their own wheatpaste instead of buying wallpaper glue. It's much cheaper.

Also this campaign recently:

Is that a wallpaper paste street artists use? It seems like a lifestyle brand, like you'll see some action with a good looking fella. Maybe I don't get it.

Really excellent post - great to see something thoughtful written on the ways in which advertising and street art can blur into each other... There's lots to be said about this topic - it's part of the whole 'commercialisation of street art' debate, and it's also interesting that many artists say that it was their frustration with the way that public space is saturated with advertising that impelled them to become artists who work in the street in the first place...

And I left out this Nike campaign which I really didn't like: http://tinyurl.com/mx6zdz

INSA is a great writer and very well respected, so I don't think people were very willing to call him out on this, but he should not be putting up little adverts for Nike across London and calling it artwork.

Fair enough Ron. It should only pop up the very first time you visit. I put it there a while ago because a lot of my friends and family have no idea what RSS is and didn't otherwise realize that they can receive the posts through email.

I'm planning on a redesign of the site very soon though and I will probably remove the popup then.

Please remove that pop up window that asks visitors to subscribe. Your website is really nice, you don't need this kind of things. :)
